12/03/07: Wallstrip Looks at Activision (ATVI )
"Guitar Hero III" is flying off the shelves so fast that the folks at Activision have to be making so much money these days they should be able to party like rock stars. But is ATVI a good investment? and how long can Activision's party last? Wallstrip's take on ATVI may not give you definitive answers to those questions, but it does prove Guitar Hero is very popular with a one group that can influence the stock's success.
11/14/07: Wallstrip's Video Take on Intuitive Surgical (ISRG)
Wallstrip takes a look at Intuitive Surgical and the future of surgery performed by robots. ISRG is a great story, but when Lindsay asks people on the street how they feel about a robot operating on them, the response is mixed.
10/08/07: Verizon Prepares To Take On The iPhone

Verizon is preparing to roll out three phones to at least offer some alternative to the iPhone and ATT. The KG Voyager, Venus and the Samsung Juke are cute, but can they put the sting to this year's techno fashion statement? Probably not. I suspect ATT and Apple have will hardly notice the Verizon assault. Indeed, it wouldn't surprise me if Verizon doesn't finds itself playing catch up for a couple of years. So what are the trades here? Buy ATT and Apple? Dump Verizon? Actually, I think all three have a ton of forward momentum. Verizon will sell its network. ATT will dominate the cool phone market. Apple will continue to be the sweetheart of tech. And what about the Blackberry? Given the RIMM's amazing third quarter earnings and the company's upcoming move into the Chinese market, RIMM is may be the best of any of these stocks. The iPhone sure hasn't hurt Blackberry sales. In fact, if anything, the Blackberry has likely had a negative impact on iPhone sales. And then there is Nokia. Nokia appears to be ready to move forward too. Choices and more choices, so which do we choose? We're going with RIMM here. It just seems unstoppable. We may pick up Nokia as a spec. We may buy some Apple and sell just before they report, and while ATT is a part of our hold forever portfolio, Verizon could justifiably fit in a long term portfolio as well. Laughing here...looks like we're buying them all!. For more pic and related links select the following "Read More" link.

08/13/07: The Best Thing Apple Ever Did
Long before Apple became the premier techno toy company and Steve Jobs evolved into the Pied Piper of Tech with an ever growing army of iClones who swear by Apple’s products, it created the most memorable and possibly most effective TV ad in history. In 1984 personal computers were still pretty much geekware. They were hard to use, lacked computing power, and unreliable. Then, with the commercial below, Apple released the first Macintosh, and personal computing began its surge to where it is today.Yes, the Giuliani quote below made me think of this...
08/12/07: Still Bullish on Yamana (AUY)
The other day I was asked why I'm still so bullish on Yamana Gold after its taken such a whipping lately. To be sure, recently the stock has been a masochist's dream come true. Between being punished for trying to put together a 3 way merger and the bad tapes the markets had lately, Yamana has taken a major tumble. However, Yamana had a great quarter and appears to be gathering momentum. Unfortunately they reported earnings at a time when the market was at its most volatile in years. Everyone was too busy watching slimeprime unravel to even notice little Yamana Gold. "Little" is the keyword for my bullishness on Yamana. They have no intention of staying little. The company is well managed by hawks who want to Grow, Grow, Grow. You gotta love that attitude.
The upshot: if no one else wants Yamana, I do. I'm buying more.
